Our Qualifications

James Riner, the founder of the firm, is listed in the "Guide To America's Top Financial Planners" published by the Consumers' Research Council Of America.  He is a noted financial educator who has conducted numerous financial planning seminars and investment seminars over the years for Crafton Hills College, Riverside Community College, Mount San Jacinto College, and Chaffey Community College.  He has a lifetime teaching credential from the State of California for teaching investment related classes for adults. Through these many seminars, Jim has taught the principles of personal financial planning and the principles of investments to numerous people. He has prepared numerous written financial plans for those people attending his seminars helping them address their financial concerns as well as helping them develop and implement strategies for reaching their financial goals.  Jim has worked with many business owners and professionals in designing retirement plans that are particularly suited to their needs as well as 401(k) plans for their businesses.  He also specializes in working with individuals including pre-retirees and retirees.

Jim started in the financial services field in 1972 when he left the national CPA firm of Price Waterhouse.  He is a Registered Principal through Centaurus Financial, Inc. and holds Series 7, Series 24, and Series 63 securities licenses as well as a California Life and Disability Insurance license (#0687464) and a California Real Estate Brokers license.  He is also an Registered Investment Advisor Associate through Centaurus Financial, Inc..  Jim has earned and holds the professional designation Board Certified in Securities (BCS).  He is the only person in the Inland Empire to have earned the Board Certified in Securities professional designation setting himself apart with this professional distinction in the area of securities (investments).  Jim holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration from California State University at Fullerton.  He was born and raised in the Inland Empire and is married with two adult, married children and three grandchildren.  Jim and his family are Christians.  In addition to family and church, Jim enjoys cars.  He owns a muscle car that has won a number of awards.
